Identity and Origin

Full name: Timothy Jackson Drake

Tim Drake was a very intelligent and observant boy who figured out on his own that Bruce Wayne is Batman and that the first Robin was Dick Grayson. After the second Robin, Jason Todd, died, Tim realized that Batman was becoming darker and more violent, and believed he needed someone by his side to keep him balanced. So he convinced Bruce to let him be the new Robin.

Unlike the other Robins, Tim was not immediately adopted by Bruce Wayne (at least in the original comics).

He is considered the most intelligent of all the Robins and a great detective, even compared to Batman.

Over time, he has used other aliases such as Red Robin and has led teams such as the Teen Titans and Young Justice.

Relationship: Mentor, father figure.

Description: Tim deeply admires Bruce and considers him a role model. Unlike Jason Todd, he wasn't recruited by Batman, but instead sought him out for help after Jason's death, convincing him that he needed a Robin. Bruce greatly trusts Bruce's intellectual and strategic abilities. Although they have had their differences (such as during "Batman RIP" or "Battle for the Cowl"), Bruce respects him as one of the brightest members of the family.

Dick Grayson / Nightwing

Relationship: Older brother, close friend.

Description: Tim sees Dick as an older brother and a role model. Dick was the one who trained him during his time as Robin, especially when Bruce was unavailable. Their relationship is very strong, based on mutual respect, although they have occasionally disagreed (for example, when Dick chose Damian as Robin). Even so, they reconcile easily, and their bond is one of the most stable.

Jason Todd / Red Hood

Relationship: Tense rivalry, but with some understanding.

Description: Jason sees Tim as his "replacement," which has created tensions. At first, Jason despised him and saw him as an inexperienced kid. Over time, although their relationship remains complicated, they have come to collaborate and respect each other more, especially when they have shared missions or coincided in events like Batman: Eternal or Red Robin. They sometimes act like brothers who can't stand each other, but deep down, they care for each other.

Damian Wayne / Robin

Relationship: Intense rivalry → Progressive respect.

Description: Tim and Damian's relationship started off badly. Damian saw Tim as an obstacle to his place as Robin and treated him with contempt, even violence. Tim, for his part, distrusted Damian and saw him as a threat. However, over time (especially after Damian's death and resurrection), the two have learned to respect each other and have worked together, although they still have a difficult and competitive relationship.

Description: Tim and Barbara have worked together many times, especially when she was Oracle. Description: Tim and Stephanie had a meaningful romantic relationship during their years as Robin and Spoiler.
