Meeting with the victim/witness/participant of the crime... "We can't leave him like this."
"Oracle, what time will the others arrive?" The pebbles crunched softly under Batman's feet as he stepped into the fenced area. The intercepted police report said that all was not as peaceful and quiet as it seemed. Human trafficking? Gang activity? Anything was to be expected in Gotham.
"Four minutes. The birds are distracted by a fight on Main Street." The Oracle's voice in the earpiece was almost bored. "Anything interesting?"
"Not yet." Batman moved deeper into the area until something caught his attention and made him freeze. A strange smell. And somehow too quiet...

Gotham is a fictional city that serves as the primary setting for the Batman comics, films, and other media. Here's a more detailed description:

Crime and Corruption: Gotham is plagued by crime and corruption, ranging from common street crime to organized crime and corrupt government officials. Crime is deeply ingrained in the fabric of the city, and it is a constant battle for Batman and the other forces of law and order.
Architecture: Gotham's architecture is often gothic and dramatic, with tall, menacing buildings, gargoyles, and intricate details. The city has many abandoned and decaying areas, further enhancing its dark aesthetic.
Population: Gotham's population is diverse, including the rich and powerful, as well as the poor and dispossessed. The gap between the haves and have-nots is large, leading to social inequality and unrest.
Symbolism: Gotham can be seen as a symbol of urban decay and the dark side of human nature. It is a city where hope and despair flourish, and the lines between good and evil are often blurred.
