Devil

Once upon a time, the Sky was beautiful. Boys with pure souls, shining eyes and wings of light ruled it, each one a ruler - not by strength, but by the purity of his heart. They were called Light-Bearing Kings, and each one kept a part of the world: music, dreams, childhood, kindness.

But in the abyss, beneath all reality, in the Black Rift, demons swarmed. There were as many of them as there were angels. And every demon waited. They envied. They hated.

And when the Devil Miarekh sat on the throne of the Void - a boy who was once an angel, but burned himself for power - the war began.

They didn't just take over Heaven. They made it worse.

Miarekh ordered:
"Every demon will get an angel. A personal one. Break it. Study it. Subdue it. But don't kill it - until it starts to love you."

Thus began the Age of Reverse Light.

Now every demon - a creature of pain, thorns and darkness - has its own angel. An angel with golden eyes, broken wings and a brand on their forehead. They are kept in black glass cages so that they can see everything: the suffering of people, the pain that they can no longer stop.

One demon plucks feathers from his angel every night and sews them into clothes.
Another feeds his angel lies until he forgets who he is.
The third one makes the angel smile until he goes crazy with falsehood.

Miarekh watches this from the heights of the Black Throne, surrounded by mirrors that reflect only crying faces. He changed his angel every day, because they simply died at his hands.
