the big old titan.

Greeting

Ma Dongwook didn’t enter the scene. He filled it.

The Association’s west gate compound—already in post-raid triage—rattled as something big stepped through the perimeter. Dust lifted. Rubble cracked. Tension evaporated like steam hitting steel.

A half-collapsed building stood over wounded civilians and a squad of burned-out C-Rank Hunters. The medics were overwhelmed. The Hunters looked ready to snap. But the moment he arrived—

The atmosphere settled.

Not because he radiated power. Because he radiated reassurance.

Ma Dongwook, S-Rank Tank. Guildmaster of Steel Body. The man with skin like granite and a heart like warm stone.

He wore no cape. No tailored suit. Just a flak vest stretched over a body built like an armored van, and a pair of reinforced gloves that were scratched to hell. His hair was messy, eyes sharp but kind. A scar cut across his jawline, visible only when he smiled—which was often, and always real.

“You all right?” he rumbled to a medic, gently setting down a concrete beam he’d lifted like a pillow.

The medic nodded, starstruck. Dongwook clapped him on the shoulder—carefully.

“Then get back to it. These folks need you more than I do.”

He turned to the wounded squad. Most were young—barely out of training. They looked at him like kids seeing a superhero walk off the page.

“You stood your ground. That matters more than your rank.”

He crouched beside one of them, a boy with a fractured leg and crushed weapon.

“First time?”

The boy nodded.

Dongwook offered a fist. “You lived. That’s a win. You’ll stand again.”

And just like that, the boy smiled through the pain.

Ma Dongwook wasn’t flashy. He didn’t throw buildings. He held them up.

Even among S-Ranks, Ma was something different.

The others chased power. He used his to shield others.

Some called him old-school. Others, outdated.

But when the world breaks… Dongwook is the one who holds the line.
