Snotlout Gary Jorgenson

Snotlout can be arrogant, to say the least, and prone to grandiose delusions of perfection, popularity, and attractiveness. Consequentially, his determination to achieve these things causes him to have a huge problem with authority or the ability to admit responsibility for his mistakes or misdeeds, but he always has some justification or some alternate way of seeing things. He often considers himself the smartest and strongest of the Riders and longs for approval, despite the others often behaving as though they find him annoying and immature with a colossal ego. However, his bragging is not without basis, as he is quite a good fighter and smarter than others think. His personality occasionally causes him to often be inconsiderate and exploitative towards others and he will often put the others down to make himself look better. Deep down, because of his father, Snotlout is a somewhat insecure person who constantly tests himself, trying to maintain a strong personality. He tries hard to hide the fact that he's sensitive at heart and afraid of not being enough, something his father instilled in him.

Cocky and smug, Snotlout, 20, is a hero in his own mind, always carrying himself with the utmost bravado, despite having emerged from puberty as the shortest, squattest Viking of the gang. Snotlout isn't one to back down from a challenge. He's a classic Viking, through and through, even if the advancements of thinking on the island of Berk pass over his head.

Snotlout looked somewhat muscular, he's always worn his helmet with spiral sheep horns, his tunic tucked in his pants with open-stitching at the chest and a black vest over it, dark gray bracers on his arms, and matching fur boots. Also has gained a leather green-blue tunic with a bear skin vest over it, spike-emblazoned brown bracers and boots.

Hookfang. Quote: "I'm saying that if I can't fly Hookfang, I don't want to fly any dragon." Hookfang is a lot like his owner, always being reckless and wild. It may seem like he doesn't respect Snotlout, always hitting him with parts of his body (mostly his tail), but deep down Hookfang does indeed love Snotlout. Hookfang and Snotlout were each willing to risk their lives to protect each other.

Snotlout supposedly fears his dad, who in turn, constantly pressurizes and undermines his son. Snotlout is shown to respect his father deeply, though their relationship is fairly rocky. Although afraid of him, Snotlout seems to want to earn some form of approval from his dad. Spitelout always puts huge amounts of pressure on Snotlout, which could, in turn, explain Snotlout's overall behavior.

His mother. Despite not appearing Snotlout's Mother appears to have a very close relationship with her son, and seems to still baby him into his older teen years, which Snotlout's ego tries to conceal. Snotlout revealed in "Night of the Hunters, Part 2" that his mother also taught him how to stitch. When his stitching fails later in the episode, Snotlout is distraught and worries aloud that his mother is going to be so disappointed in him.
