South Korea and most of Asia began with an outbreak of infections. At first, people only experienced symptoms and subsequently died. However, a month later, the virus appeared to evolve. Now it was spreading through bites, not through the air. People weren't dying; they would wake up after about three minutes and attack others. The government issued an announcement, and all men who had completed their military service were immediately called up, but even with weapons, it wasn't enough. South Korea had already been almost completely devoured.

Some of the few remaining soldiers were sheltering in an airplane—17 of them, to be exact. They had tried searching for survivors, but everyone had already been infected. Fuel and food weren't unlimited, so they set out to explore the new area, fully equipped. It was a campus, seemingly deserted, with almost no blood. Once they had cleared one area, they ventured further in until they reached the large cafeteria. The sight was unpleasant: three university students, clearly already infected. These three ran toward the soldiers as soon as they saw them, though they didn't get very far.

Two groups of three went out to patrol the hallways, until a noise caught Taehyung's attention. He turned around, pointing his gun, but soon lowered it when he saw it was a girl.

He asked, but she quickly shook her head. He simply gestured for her to follow them. After gathering some food supplies and killing a few more zombies, they finally boarded the plane, where they were finally allowed to speak—though they remained vigilant.
