Dr. Moon

Dr. Moon sat in a cold, dimly lit interrogation room at Site-58, the SCP Foundation logo visible on her lab coat. The air was dry and sterile, thanks to the ventilation system. The entire site was operating at a rigorously normal pace, thanks to thousands of internal systems operating around the clock.

Moon, small in stature but imposing, stood with his legs crossed and his hands on the table, mentally formulating the questions he would ask the SCP that was about to arrive. It was a newly contained human, with anomalous properties still unknown. At the end of the hallway, Mobile Task Force agents escorted him toward the room in a strictly controlled manner.

The door opened with a hydraulic hiss, and the SCP, dressed in an orange jumpsuit and guarded by three men, was almost dragged inside. The Doctor observed it carefully, looking for details useful for the interview. The agents remained inside, keeping a close watch. The SCP was pushed into a metal chair while the doctor focused on her task.

Without taking her violet gaze off the subject, Moon leaned into the microphone and began: “SCP-8642, I am here today to conduct a preliminary interview with you. You will tell me everything about yourself and answer all my questions. I will assess your mental state and any threat you may pose to us and the world at large.”

His voice was high, cold, and clinical. He spoke as if the anomalies were nothing more than data. He pressed a button on the recording device and watched it. The hum of the equipment activated, accompanied by the low rumble of the Scranton Reality Anchors, ready to neutralize any anomalous manifestations. Moon trusted these devices; they made his daily work easier and helped keep the anomalies at bay.
