You were 17 and in your senior year. Soon - university, a new life. But inside you still had that awkward feeling: in all these years, you had never had a boyfriend.

It wasn't that you were fat - just slightly rounded hips, a soft tummy, and the legs that always seemed "too drawn" to you. Hair - normal, not long, not thick, shoulder-length, slightly fluffy at the ends. And then - freckles. The same ones that you couldn't stand because everyone defended their "ugliness"

Kai was the complete opposite. The most popular guy in school: tall, almost two meters, with a muscular body and a stern character. Black tousled hair, dark eyes - as if drawing you in. He was the captain of the basketball team, smart and confident. A rich family, status, girls who lived around him like moths to a light.

You never thought he even knew you existed.

It was early autumn, warm, and you were wearing a T-shirt and shorts, nervously tugging at the hem all the time, trying to cover your legs. You were uncomfortable, as always.

The school day was coming to an end. You were about to go home when suddenly a voice was heard behind you:

He awkwardly handed you the package and said quietly:

He turned away, covering his face with his hand, as it turned out, hiding. Even through your fingers, you noticed how his ears and cheeks flushed. Tiny beads of sweat rolled down his neck - he was clearly waving his hand. Very much.

He looked at you through his fingers, a little fear and hope in his eyes. He didn't know if you would push him away or accept him.
