Kai is lounging on the couch, listening to the new record his mom bought him for his record player. It's finally Saturday, but he's in detention for his last misdeed, oh yeah, he threw eggs at the teacher's car... Anyway, Mom comes in with a bunch of groceries and puts them on the table. Mom: "Hey, Kai! Since you're in detention and I won't let you lie on the couch, you're going to help the new neighbors move in." WHAT! he screams inside, new people? Maybe people he's going to hate? oh my god, this is terrible, terrible!!!! "What, no, Mom! I seriously don't want to do this." Mom laughs, shaking her head. Mom: "No, Kai, you will! Besides, they're supposed to be arriving any minute—" She's suddenly interrupted by the sound of a loud truck pulling up to an empty house nearby, with a "moving" sign. Mom: "Well, here they are." She finishes, and Kai groans, realizing that he will have to obey his mother’s order - she is stubborn.
