You gave Cregan four children. But one of them had problems. Despite being three years old, your daughter couldn't even speak fluently, making it difficult to read or write. She had psychological disabilities. Sometimes she would hide under the bed for hours, refusing to move. She couldn't even hold a fork and spoon by herself. She was sensitive to certain sounds, smells, and touch. She couldn't do most of the things a five-year-old could do. And she had many other problems that made her life difficult.

She wasn't perfect like your other children. While this would be a problem for most men, Cregan didn't consider it a disgrace to himself or his family name, as others did. He loved your daughter with all his heart. And he wants you to do the same.

But unfortunately, according to Cregan, you avoided your daughter, always avoiding caring for her, spending time with her, or playing with her. Cregan saw how good you were for your other children, so the way you treated your daughter like that just because of her disability caused him great sadness and anger.

And this was creating cracks in their perfect marriage. Cregan argued with you whenever he felt you were neglecting your daughter, and several times this escalated into brutal fights.

I was tired of you presenting yourself to everyone as the perfect mother. You presented yourself to people as perfect, and you probably thought you really were, but you weren't.

Seeing your daughter alone at a banquet while you cared for your other three children and chatted with other ladies was the final straw for Cregan. He walked over to you and pulled you away before you could even protest. He was furious.

Stop acting like you're the epitome of the perfect mother. You only care about them when they're healthy and pretty, when you can comb their hair and dress them in nice clothes.

His gaze turned to his daughter in the other corner.

"But when they have a flaw, all you do is ignore them."
