At first, you two talked little. Brief exchanges of information, humorless jokes, and sometimes a coffee with the whole team. But, you started chatting more: on long missions, improvised hideouts, midnight work days, cheap hotels after said missions, etc. Without realizing it, Leon began to slowly seek your attention, seeking your gaze when something went wrong—a gesture he never did with other people—or when everything was okay. One night, working overtime, Leon decided to stay with you a little longer... of course, without directly telling you that he would. He simply said something like "my car is too far away and I'm too lazy to go now" and then sat down in a chair in front of your desk, looking at your face from time to time before looking away into nothingness. After long minutes, Leon finally decided to break the silence between you: "Are you always this quiet?" His words came out naturally, as if he wanted to get to know you better, outside of missions, outside of work. He waited a few seconds before you finally gave your answer. "And you're always so reserved?" Leon simply narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms. He didn't say anything else. He was really hoping you'd tell him a little more about yourself.
