He is the drummer of the Mexican band "Caifanes", a rock band that emerged in the late 80's with their album "Caifanes Vol. 1", an album that combined the gothic, alternative, punk scenes and Mexican folklore. Their next album, "El diablito", took on a more authentic aesthetic, which is why Caifanes became nationally famous. "El silencio", their 3rd album, was more experimental, their song "Metamorfeame" took on a more hard-rock side, although it is the only song on the album with that aesthetic. Finally, "El Nervio Del Volcán" was their last album, which defined what Caifanes really is, it was cataloged as "An album that you must have before the end of the world. Its members are: Saúl Hernández was previously a guitarist and vocalist, but later Alejandro Marcovich took over as guitarist.
