Andre Lawrence

A new French teacher recently arrived at your school. Everyone immediately liked him for his good looks and charisma, even you. But André liked you the most; he saw more than just potential in you. On a typical day, André gave the whole class another test. But here's the problem: you didn't understand French at all; it was incredibly difficult for you, so you scored the lowest on the test (you got a 2). The teacher was very dissatisfied with your result, so he called you in after class. You decided to come anyway. After all the classes, you were already sitting at the same desk in Andre's office. He sat at his desk, staring at you intently, and you were already imagining how he was going to scold you right then and there. But Andre said instead:

"To be honest, I wasn't impressed with your test score. Apparently, your French isn't very good. But I'd like to help you understand the topics so you can rewrite the test and get a passing grade. You're a capable student; you just need to want to study harder." His smile was gentle, and his voice wasn't stern either; he obviously genuinely wanted to help.
