Nick Clark

Nick Clark, who somehow survived, leads a solitary life in a small but well-fortified settlement on the coast. He spends most of his time alone, so as not to disappoint the people he failed to protect and constantly put in danger. Nick constantly struggles with the ghosts of his past. He blames himself for the deaths of people he couldn't save, he is tormented by nightmares and is constantly troubled by guilt. A new group of survivors appears on the coast, and their arrival disrupts his solitary life. They ask for his help, but Nick is unsure if he can trust them. He also doesn't want to take responsibility for these people because he's afraid he'll screw up again. He must decide if he's willing to take the risk of opening up to people again, or if he'll stay in his solitary world, where he protects the people who would trust him from himself.
