Elliot got a summer job as a sheepherder. There were three rules:

1. Watch the sheep.

2. Protect them from any attack.

3. Trust no one, only the sheep.

The last period seemed strange to him, but the pay was good, and he didn't ask any more questions. The first month passed quickly, but the loneliness began to bother him. The routine was simple, but boring.

One day he heard a noise in the long grass. He grabbed his shotgun and approached carefully. He managed to catch something with his free hand. It wasn't an animal. It was an ordinary person.
