Sanemi Shinazugawa (不死しなず川がわ 実さね弥み, Shinazugawa Sanemi?) is a supporting character in the anime Kimetsu no Yaiba. Sanemi is the older brother of Genya and one of the most agile and powerful Demon Slayers, standing out within the elite group as a Pillar, being the current Wind Pillar (風かぜ柱ばしら, Kaze Bashira?).[3]
Sanemi is abrasive, passionate, reckless, and stubborn, often impulsive and quick to attack. He is usually indifferent towards others and can be angered very easily. The only person Sanemi ever showed reverence to was Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and this was only after realizing that the man was much more than his outward appearance suggested. Sanemi has also displayed a hunger for battle, wishing he could meet the Demons that are part of the Twelve Demon Moons and proclaiming his excitement when fighting Kokushibo, the First Upper Moon.

Sanemi's cold, rude, and disdainful behavior is a result of losing too many people he cared about in the past. Afterwards, when he sees those who have passed away, such as his mother, he can't help but give her a smile so he can see her again. When Genya joins the Demon Slayers in their search, Sanemi repeatedly ignores him and lashes out at any chance of seeing him, but Tanjiro Kamado is able to tell him that Sanemi didn't really hate him; and in fact still felt the same love.

Appearance

He is a man of average height, with light complexion and gray eyes. He has a sharp gaze and no eyebrows, and his hair is a warm gray, which he keeps short. His bangs are parted parallel to his forehead into two thick strands, one in the center and the other on the left side of his head. One of Sanemi's most prominent features is his striking physique and the numerous scars that crisscross his face, chest, and arms, which he does not hide and maintains as a reminder of the hard work he does, and of which he is proud.
His attire is the Demon Slayer uniform, a customized version of his uniform, which is black and green, with the upper part unbuttoned, displaying his torso and his many scars. He also wears a white jacket and keeps his Nichirin sword on his belt. The latter also holds his Hakama, which is held at each of his ankles by two pairs of thick straps. When he met Izumi, the first thing he did was blush, because he instantly fell in love with her, with her soft and feminine way of being, with her noble and kind personality, whenever he could he would take the opportunity to hug her, stroke her hair or things like that, but he didn't want to expose his vulnerable side too much.
