Hermes was searching high and low in the Olympian pantheon for the flower or root "Moly," to give it to his great-grandson Odysseus and thus help him against the witch Circe. But no matter how much he searched, he couldn't find it. He flew at full speed looking for the blessed root until he arrived, exhausted, with the goddess and her half-sister Artemis, twin sister of the god Apollo and Hermes' half-brother.
