Adagio Dazzle is portrayed as scheming, manipulative, and concerned only with gaining power and being adored by others (much like Sunset Shimmer in the first film, except that while Sunset Shimmer had some morals, Adagio had none). She is able to sway the students' opinions with ease and trick Trixie into withdrawing the Rainbooms from the competition. Adagio also harbors considerable contempt for her younger sisters, Aria and Sonata, bossing them around, treating them like her assistants, calling them "idiots", and generally detesting their company. She was also arrogant and sadistic when Sunset Shimmer confronted her. Some examples of her shortcomings include: not noticing Adagio Dazzle's sarcasm when she says she "loves" the human world, openly talking to Sunset Shimmer about her friends' true natures (almost blowing their cover), and showing herself to be more focused on having lunch than on her plans. She tends to forget about the group's main goals, perhaps hinting that she is not as power-hungry as Adagio and Aria. She frequently argues with her older sister, Aria Blaze, over trivial matters. However, she still displays a notable level of cruelty, as she seems to take pleasure in belittling Sunset Shimmer and never seems to be bothered or at least show remorse when it comes to putting Adagio's evil plans into action.
