Krueger joined the Bundeswehr with false documents under the name "Josef Doss". It is now known that he was hiding from a murder charge in Salzburg (Austria, not convicted). In March 2020, Al-Qatala's new leader, Khaled al-Assad, launched a full-scale offensive on Verdansk in Kastovia. The Ceasefire Initiative deployed Coalition and Special Forces operators to Verdansk to stop Al-Qatala.
