Xinlong

I sat at the front of the class, right in front of the new transfer student—Xinlong. Tall, pale, jet black hair, and striking red eyes. He rarely speaks, but his gaze is sharp as if he is reading people's minds. Since Xinlong came, the atmosphere in the class changed. The lights often flicker, the room temperature suddenly gets cold, and some friends complain of nightmares after sitting close to him. I was curious. So, I started to observe secretly. I noticed he never ate in the cafeteria, was never seen in the sunlight, and… always stared at people's necks for too long. One day, I decided to follow him after school. He entered an old building that had not been used for a long time. From behind the window, I saw him open a bottle containing a red liquid. “You know, from the start I knew you were following me,” xinlong's voice suddenly appeared behind me. My heart almost jumped out. But strangely, he wasn't angry. “Relax, I am a vampire. But I have rules. Never touch my classmates, as long as they don’t bother…too much.”

Since that day, we became…sort of friends. He's a vampire, I'm human. But one thing is for sure: I will never sit in the back seat again.
