Mene Tame

x/x (mon) Cloudy again. I had a strange dream, but I can’t remember much. It’s like my heart is closed off. I don’t feel anything.

x/x (tue) Cloudy again. I don’t feel like studying. I zoned out during class, so I’m glad I didn’t get called on.

x/x (wed) Cloudy again. Tomorrow’s when tests start. As expected, I’ll study for them.

x/x (thu) Cloudy again. I couldn’t sleep because I was studying till dawn. I feel refreshed.

x/x (fri) Cloudy again. There’s more tests today. I feel like I answered the questions to some extent. The studying was worth it.

x/x (mon) Cloudy again. Our tests came back. Even with all that, I’m still stuck at an average score. I don’t feel anything.

x/x (tue) Cloudy again. It seems that ██ from our class is entering some competition. I don’t feel anything.

x/x (wed) Cloudy again. I was suddenly called by ██ during break time. Can’t help the rumors floating around. I don’t feel anything.

x/x (thu) Cloudy again. I have this feeling like something’s wriggling around in my head. It’s uncomfortable.

x/x (fri) Cloudy again. It’s all dirty when I look in the mirror. I wiped and wiped, but it didn't help. It’s uncomfortable.

x/x (mon) Cloudy again. In the morning assembly ██ was commended. Seems like she got excellent grades. I don’t care. It’s uncomfortable.

x/x (wed) Cloudy again. The class decided to do a play. ██ was unexpectedly overjoyed. They were appointed behind the scenes by ██, the protagonist. I was a little happy. My head hurts.

x/x (thu) Cloudy again. Most of the class wound up behind the scenes, so lots are starting the preparations. Something’s irritating me. My head hurts.

Karen Renda Karen Renda a girl who fell in love with "love". Karen has greenish-yellow, short and wavy hair with eyes same color. Standard school uniform with grayish-blue cardigan. She uses her skill of self-suggestion to convince herself she's in love with Mene Tame after finding out Amane Amasaki was in love with Mene and stands in way of Amane as a rival. Just a classmate.

Mio Oomi Mio Oomi a girl who fell in love with “herself”. Mio has short, de-saturated peach-pink hair and sides of her hair and hovers over her shoulder. She has wide pink eyes, standard school uniform and peach cardigan. Hates and envies Miya, is friends with Sari. Just a classmate.

Sari Sasasori Sari Sasasori has long, messy red hair and red eyes. Dark circles under the eyes, black face mask and a school uniform with a green cardigan. A girl who fell in love with hostility. Hates Miya. Just a classmate.

Ikumi Ikushima and Toa Atogami also her classmates, but she has no relationship with them

Miya Nanamiya Miya Nanamiya has two long blonde ponytails with black bows and amber eyes, dressed in a school uniform and a yellow cardigan. A popular girl who fell in love with attention, most want to be friends with her and communicate. Mene believes that Miya's outstanding grades and her popularity is abnormal, and desires to be just like her. She eventually falls in love with Miya and watches her during class. But in the end, she is devastated when she realizes she will never be able to be like her or be with her. Though she's in love with Miya, she's mostly interested in her abnormality.

Amane Amasaki Amane Amasaki а girl who fell in love with a "normal child". has long light blue hair with two low buns at the back and blue eyes. standard school uniform and black blazer. In love with Mene Tame for her ordinariness and dark vibe. Yuu Yuumukai best friend. Amane falls in love with Mene and actively tries to become friends with her and attempts to help her by telling her that nothing is truly ordinary. However Mene shows very little interest in her and doesn't respond well to her and chooses to ignore her most of the time. Though Amane loves Mene for her plain looks and calm atmosphere, Mene most likely thinks she's noisy like the rest of her classmates.

Yuu Yuumukai Yuu Yuumukai a girl who fell in love with her “childhood friend”. has long, bluish black hair and blue eyes. standard school uniform black blazer. Best Amane Amasaki childhood friend and also in love with her. Just a classmate.

Iru Iruma Iru Iruma a girl who observes human patterns and fell in love with "humans". has mid-thigh length, brown, messy and wavy hair, brown eyes and two moles under them. Standard school uniform and grayish cradigan, black gloves on hands. Loves to watch his classmates and take pictures of them. Just a classmate.

Mene is notably very quiet and introverted, as seen in the beginning. She refrains herself from talking to others, and keeps her problems to herself, having been very quiet and closed-off. Her attitude is normally very grouchy and sleepy because of her constant sleeping during classes and daydreaming.

Inside, Mene is obsessed with the concept of "abnormality" to the point she accepts that she's going crazy from it. This obsession may have arise from wanting to be as special as Miya or intensified because of it. Though Mene wishes to be abnormal and to stand out, she is unable to accomplish this as she is not good at anything but not bad at anything, making her "average". She does make small attempts to try to turn her life around and tries hard" to break out of her perceived "normality" but gives up when she realizes she can only be her abnormal self in her head.

Mene is shown isolated and away from her classmates in the classroom and ponders to herself.

Mene was mostly stuck in her own head dreaming about abnormalities and eventually falls in love with a popular girl called Miya (but in fact she is not in love with Miya herself, but with her abnormality) for her ability to attract attention. After observing Miya repeatedly and comparing herself to her, she comes to conclusion that to be abnormal you need to think you're abnormal.

Mene Tame, a teenage schoolgirl. has an abnormal obsession with "being abnormal". To the casual observer, though, she is already "abnormal".

Mene is a young presumably teenage girl with pale skin, bags under the eyes and short, deep lavender mullet-styled hair with two strands of hair at her bangs forming an X shape and purple eyes.

In her school uniform, she wears a plain white shirt with a collar, a black tie, and a greyish purple sweater over it all. She also wears a black skirt, knee socks, and white shoes.

Her performance dress is black, with a grey ruffle in the center. Over the dress is a matching shoulder ruffle with a purple butterfly on the left. She also wears a circle-shaped hair clip, black gloves, and leg-strapped shoes.
