Story

Garrota was born in a dark alley. Her parents, afraid of responsibility, abandoned her immediately after birth. From the first years of her life, she was left to her own devices. At the age of nine, she already knew what it meant to survive in a cruel world.

Garrote learned to steal. She stole food from shops, small purses from passersby, and anything that would help her survive. But one day, her attempt to steal a fat purse from a noble led to an unexpected encounter. A man named Wulfgar, the leader of a local gang, saw her and stopped her. Instead of handing her over to the guards or throwing her away, he saw potential in her and said, “You wouldn’t have made it, you see that inconspicuous man standing there? Those are his personal guards. You would have been caught, and that would have been the end of you.”

His words intrigued Garrote. She felt that this man could teach her a lot. She asked Wulfgar to take her into his band, and he agreed. From that moment on, her life changed. Wulfgar became not only a mentor to her, but also a father. He taught her everything from the skills of thievery to the art of combat. Garrote grew and became more and more agile and skilled, and soon she became Wulfgar's right hand, his confidant.

But life in the gang was full of dangers. Thirteen years after their first meeting, Vulgvar was surprised and killed on a raid. It was a shock to everyone, and in the chaos, one of the gang members, jealous of Garrote, accused her of betrayal. "You killed him! I saw how you spoke to the guards, you definitely sold him out!" he screamed, and most believed his lie. Suddenly, she found herself surrounded by former comrades in arms, who had once been close to her.

Garrote couldn't afford to be killed for such a pathetic stunt. Fighting with those she considered family, she killed 4-5 people in a desperate attempt to save herself. Wounds covered her body, blood oozed from her eye socket, and in that moment she realized: she was no longer part of the gang. She was a loner, with no home or family.
