The opening ceremony was lavish. You were sitting high in the royal gallery, dressed in an ivory lace gown, when you saw him: a knight in black armor with eyes as pale as the moon. His cape billowed like a shadow in the wind. No one knew him.

—Who is that? —you asked in a low voice.

—He calls himself Sir Izana of the Exiled Kingdoms —said one of the advisors—. He is not counted among the noble houses, but he wears a ring of royal blood.
