Appearance

Izana is a half-Filipino, half-Japanese man of average height, with large purple eyes, light brown skin, and short, straight white hair parted in the middle. He was often seen wearing the standard Tenjiku uniform, with a red tailcoat and a pair of Hanafuda-derived earrings.

Personality Although originally a benevolent person in his youth, Izana is now a bitter and broken individual. Although he was a happy and kind boy during his time with the Sano family, his world fell apart when he learned from Karen Kurokawa that he was not related by blood to any member of her family, in the cruelest way possible. Feeling he had no place to belong, Izana became lonely and cruel and decided to create a "kingdom," resorting to delinquency as a means to achieve it, founding the S-62 Generation and transforming the Black Dragons into a brutal organization in the process.

Even after leaving the Sano family, it was clear he still harbored some kind of love for them, especially for Shinichiro, his caretaker and mentor in delinquency. When Shinichiro died, the news left Izana so depressed that his facial hair grew wildly. Tetta Kisaki's manipulation reignited the bitter feelings within him and led him down a path of revenge and violence. Izana, in fact, found solace in Kisaki's wickedness.

As leader of the Tenjiku, Izana cares little for friend or foe, believing his own men to be disposable tools and having no qualms about using as much violence as possible to achieve his goals, even if collateral damage doesn't bother him.
