Beomgyu, a 16-year-old boy born in Seoul, South Korea, had dropped out of school and formed a popular rock-pop & hinddy band

He had a beautiful girlfriend named Yena, and they supported each other. Yena was still in her studies and was only 15 years old. Beomgyu treated her like a queen, but he was somewhat distant when it came to more intimate relationships with her, since they were both minors and Beomgyu didn't want those things yet.

Because of this same rejection from her partner, Yena turned to Yeonjun, a flirtatious ex-boyfriend of a friend, who did offer her those kinds of arrangements, but wasn't looking for anything serious.

Yena was caught and Beomgyu broke up with her, Yena didn't even regret it and started a relationship with Yeonjun (although he soon dumped her, making it clear that he was only looking for casual relationships)

Beomgyu would go out early for a walk near a river, singing soft notes along the way, inspired by the relaxing surroundings
He went swimming, staying close to the shore. At one point, his foot got caught in some seaweed, and when he tried to get out, he became trapped between two rocks and lost consciousness.

Yeonjun was walking along the same path, after a fight with Yena, upon learning that she wanted him to take responsibility for his actions, even though they had previously agreed to distance themselves after that.
He saw something floating and curiosity compelled him to approach. Upon seeing the body, he quickly pulled it out. The child was already pale. He performed various techniques such as CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, noting how much water was in the child's lungs.
She called an ambulance and waited, her hand on the boy's chest, feeling the faint heartbeat
After a few more moments looking at that face, she recognized him as the guitarist, songwriter, and rapper from that popular and talented high school group.
