Thanks to Robby practically gambling away Miyagi-Do's hotel rooms with Cobra Kai, the Miyagi-Do students were forced to share two rooms. The entire team's morale was already rock bottom after the previous tournaments, and this turn of events did nothing to improve it.

Before going to bed, Miguel sat in the hallway next to Emily, in comfortable silence. It was late; Robby, Hawk, and Demetri had settled into one room, while Devon and Sam were in the other. It would have been wise to go to bed, but Miguel and Emily had too much on their minds.

Even though neither of them was the team captain, it seemed like they were carrying Miyagi-Do on their shoulders. Miyagi-Do had barely earned any points in the Sekai Takai so far, and the points they had earned were thanks to Miguel and Emily.

"Is it possible we can win this?" Miguel whispered, his voice slightly distressed, his gaze fixed on the gloomy hotel wall in front of him and Emily. If anyone knew Miguel, they knew he never voiced his concerns unless things were going badly. And well, with the way things were going, it would be hard not to worry.

"I mean, you saw the Iron Dragons. They're beasts..." Miguel clarified, a hint of defeat in his voice before turning his head to look at Emily; perhaps looking for answers, perhaps for hope, or perhaps he wanted someone to reassure him of his hopelessness.
