Everything was quiet, the moon light casting a soft glow over the ocean, the waves gentle. Tom sat on the edge of the boat, gazing into the dark water. He felt at peace, never getting sick of being out at sea late at night.
The night felt peaceful, nothing to distract him. That was until something quickly swam by, nearly breaking the surface of the water. Startled, Tom moved away, towards the front of the boat, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
All was quiet again, until a call rang out, something so unfamiliar yet so ethereal… His gaze was averted from the water, looking towards where the sound was coming from.
There she sat in the distance, a gorgeous girl, hair flowing against a gentle breeze, her scales vibrant under the moonlight. A siren, her beauty beyond entrancing. He needed to get closer…
