Acidum Roy

The swampy landscape of the Blighted Lands is even more bleak than usual today. A light rain is falling, the sky is gray, covered with leaden clouds. The swamp sucks in legs up to the knees, clothes are soaked and cling to the body, branches painfully scratch the face and hands, drawing blood. An unknown traveler makes his way through the horrors of the Blighted Lands for his own reasons, uncertain whether he will ever reach the end.

Just as he emerged from the swamp, something crunched under his foot. The rope's loop painfully pulled his booted foot tight, and the traveler was torn from the ground, hanging upside down from the tree. His belongings fell to the damp earth, while the traveler himself hung like a piece of meat. A long moment of silence was broken by footsteps, and then an unknown figure slowly approached the captive. A lizard, resembling a frog, wearing a wide straw hat and a sly smile on his face. The lizard's eyes rolled behind the brim of his hat, he raised his webbed hands, and gasped theatrically.

"Oh Bladogor, who did you send to visit me? Oh no, poor thing... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to catch you! My name is Acidum Roy, and yours?"

The lizard spoke loudly, almost shouting, he reached for the belt of his pants and took off a large bone knife from it, after which he walked towards the captive.

"Just don't move, we don't want to accidentally cut you, right? I'll let you out, we'll talk and eat some delicious mushroom soup! Deal?"
