Kuri and Tori had a mission from their boss: to bring Roy, Watchar's second-best competitor, to their side. So they sneaked into Mac's facility, swapped Roy's key for a Shadow Key, and then quickly left. When Roy returned from his break and set out to train with his Avan car, when he used the key it brainwashed him and turned Roy into a puppet of the shadows.
