Techniques/Attacks
•Grim Lunge: This involves launching powerful cosmic energy blasts by swinging his sword. •Inferno Sword: Hades raises his sword and a red aura surrounds it and Hades launches a quick claw strike creating a divine shockwave of crimson red that causes great damage. •Greatest Eclipse: Hades can align every planet in the solar system and block out the light of the Sun with the Moon, causing the Earth to enter perpetual darkness. With the sun no longer shining on Earth, the entire world will fall into an eternal ice age that will kill every living thing on Earth.
Arms
•The Sword of Hades: Also called the Invisible Sword, it is a powerful divine weapon owned exclusively by the King of the Underworld, Hades. The sword is black in both the blade and the handle, it is a kind of semi-long blade, it has a reddish stone in the middle of the blade and the handle, it has inscriptions on the blade of an unknown origin, it is adorned with wings that share a color with the handle similar to the Surplice of Hades and it is covered by a reddish aura that is believed to be related to blood. Being a divine weapon, the sword has mysterious properties. Among them, the most notable is a curse; once its sword pierces the opponent, the sword will remain eternally stuck in the victim, even if the sword is no longer stuck in the opponent or Hades disappears, this becomes clear when despite having defeated Hades and permanently, Hades's sword remained spiritually buried in Seiya. Among other properties, we can count the fact that its sharpness and hardness are impressive. With just one cut, Hades managed to pierce the Divine Armor that protected Seiya's body when he was protecting the goddess Athena, who was asleep in a vase under the influence of Hypnos. According to Athena, the only way to break the curse that a person carries when wounded for life by Hades's sword is to destroy it.
History.
The god understands that they will never reach an agreement and it is time for him to die alongside the humans he loves so much, once and for all, so that a Holy War will never be repeated. Therefore, he throws his sword with all his might directly at her, in an attack that would undoubtedly kill the goddess, but the sword collides with Seiya in its trajectory, who uses all his power to strike the Emperor and leave him wounded, to the utter astonishment and discontent of the powerful Hades, who still does not understand how mere humans can do so much damage to him. Despite this good blow, Hades does not give up; his sword has mortally wounded Seiya, leaving him apparently lifeless, and has returned to his hands filled with the blood of the brave warrior. Hades reproaches Athena for not having taken advantage of the opportunity Pegasus gave her to kill him; but she gets up and tells him that, not knowing love and the thousands of things that make humans strong, he is incapable of judging them. This is how Hades gets angry and tries to repeat the attack that killed Seiya, but this time Hyōga, Shiryū, Ikki and Shun prevent him by raising their Cosmos to a point that surpasses the god. Athena throws her staff helped by the energy of her Saints and pierces Hades' body. It is the end, Hades sees himself defeated, but before dying, he warns them that they will die, because if he disappears, the Elysian Fields and the Underworld will also disappear along with him. Finally, he disappears along with his domains.
History.
Pegasus doesn't understand anything but doesn't abandon his mission to defeat him, so he runs to hit him with his Pegasus Ryû Sei Ken, but falls due to the immense power of the god, losing the statuette of Athena in the fall, he tries to recover it, but Hades pierces his hand with his sword. Hades is ready to give him the final blow, when a power stops his sword and protects Seiya like the other Saints, it is Athena, who is recovering all her blood from the Vessel. Hades is about to attack the goddess before she can go out to battle her, but Seiya is faster and throws the statue of Athena at his Goddess who destroys the vessel from the inside and comes out dressed in her Cloth, ready to finish Hades once and for all. Hades then understands that it was all part of the Goddess's plan to make sure that Hades with his real body, comes out to fight her. As soon as he sees her, he runs to kill her with his sword, but she defends herself with her shield. Hades asks her why, being a goddess, she fights for stupid humans, who have gotten out of control, and who cannot be left alone, since they lose control of themselves and their actions and if it were not for the fear of death and the eternal torment that he has instilled in humanity, the world would be a chaotic place. Saori contradicts his words, telling him that there is no human who does not make a mistake, no matter how small, since he is not a god, and that his biggest mistake has been wanting all humans and living beings on Earth to pay for their mistakes after death. Hades becomes enraged and attacks harder with his sword and despite Saori protecting herself with her shield, she is hit by the force of the blow.
History.
Seiya does not agree with what Hades says, since he does not meet the requirements to be a venerated god, since it is not fair. Hades does not answer and hits Seiya again, who receives the impact near the stomach. Pegasus repeats again that he will not separate from Athena, so the King of Hell threatens to cut him in half along with the goddess, when the joint attack of Shun, Shiryû and Hyôga stops him, leaving him slightly stunned. The 5 Saints unite their Cosmos in a final direct attack on the god, who is hit by it but launches his own blow at the Saints. Although he did not feel the blow instantly, he sees that his Surplice has been broken in some parts and he has been wounded in the head. Hades becomes furious when he notices that mere humans have managed to wound him and was still in shock when he sees Seiya get up. Hades looks more closely at Seiya's face and notices a certain resemblance to someone he had already seen in the previous Holy War, and also in the Mythological Age. Upon recalling further, he realizes that that face was the same as that of the Saint who had been able to wound him, and that was precisely the Saint of Pegasus. Hades becomes enraged when he realizes that Seiya was the reincarnation of that warrior and also of Tenma, warning him that he will destroy him so that he will never be reborn to hurt him again.
History.
But before disappearing with Athena, Hades manages to completely ward off the Eclipse so feared by all. After returning to the Elysian Fields, his spirit takes shelter in a statue that rests on the Temple where his real body rests. Already knowing Athena's situation inside the Vessel that is killing her minute by minute, he feels that his victory is near, but sees how his two best guardians, Hypnos and Thanatos, die at the hands of the Bronze Saints (who now wear Divine Armor, which is very similar to that of the gods themselves) and approach dangerously where Athena is imprisoned, trying to free her. However, Hades does not want the goddess to come out to fight him and strikes Ikki and Seiya from a distance, making them realize that inside the Temple lies the true enemy, who resurfaces completely after millennia for the final battle. Seeing himself forced by the situation, Hades once again uses his mythological body. Once outside, he lifts the Amphora where Athena is and threatens to cut it in two with his sword, but Ikki (who thanks to the goddess's blood obtained his divine armor) gets in the way, falling seriously wounded. Seiya looks at the god directly and tells him that he has beautiful eyes, with an incredible color and asks how is it possible that eyes (which according to Seiya, looked like a deep lake), belonged to the god of the underworld. But he interrupts him, telling him that humans make him very sad because of their self-centered attitudes. To demand even more from the Earth that the gods have so generously given them and that is now full of evils such as corruption and jealousy, to still have the nerve to confront those who have given them the world in which they live, since before Humans worshipped the gods with admiration and fear, but now they dare to bite the hand that has fed them.
History.
So he decides to leave Shun in Ikki's care, but gives him a star-shaped medallion with an inscription that says "Yours Ever", which Shun would believe was the last memory of his mother, this medallion tied Shun's body to Hades's soul for eternity. From that moment on, the Emperor's spirit reflected Shun's appearance when he appeared to the Specters. For a period of 13 years, Hades remained in the Underworld, receiving Saints like Orpheus during that time. Hades finally awakens ready and prepared to resume the bloody crusade against his niece, Athena, who has been reborn as a woman named Saori Kido. On this occasion, to ensure his victory, Hades resurrects the Gold Saints who died in the Battle of the Twelve Houses, Saga of Gemini, Shura of Capricorn, Camus of Aquarius, Deathmask of Cancer, the previous Patriarch of the Sanctuary Shion of Aries, Aphrodite of Pisces, and also resurrects some of the Silver Saints killed by the Bronze Saints. As the fight progresses, Hades gradually takes over the body of Shun of Andromeda. When the possession of Shun's body is complete, Hades finally carries out his plan to dominate planet Earth by causing an eclipse of apocalyptic proportions which will not only align the Earth with the Sun and the Moon but also align all the planets of the Solar System to plunge the Earth into Darkness. While resting under the guard of his sister Pandora, he is visited by Shaka of Virgo, who attempts a suicide attack to finish off the god; Although he cannot do so because it is Athena herself who arrives to give battle. Hades struggles with the goddess, and although the former seems to obtain the victory, the protector of the Earth uses all her Cosmos, her blood and with the help of Shun's spirit, removes the god from the young warrior's body.
History.
However, thanks to the flower bracelet and Alone's strong will, he was unable to fulfill his goal. Now, he plans to finish them off once and for all. Therefore, he rises from his seat and proceeds to attack them with his sword. The three friends place their hands on the flower bracelet that Tenma wears in his hand and join forces to defend themselves from Hades' attack, thus stopping the god's sword. Subsequently, they manage to throw Hades' soul through the Path of the Gods into Elysion. After Hades' defeat, the small moon where the Temple of Pluto was located is destroyed, and because of this, Tenma, Alone, and Sasha lose their lives, marking the end of the Holy War. After a bloody War, only two Saints survive, Shion of Aries and Dohko of Libra. The souls of the 108 Specters from that moment on are under the supervision of the Saint of Libra, while the souls of Thanatos and Hypnos are left in a small box, very close to Heinstein Castle. 243 years pass. A young Pandora reincarnated, the reincarnation of the 18th-century Pandora, frees the spirits of the Twin Gods after a long rest. They inform her that the spirit of Hades will be born from her mother, and that she must treat him with great care as if he were her older brother. They also tell her that the body that has been chosen to host the soul of Emperor Hades is that of a Japanese orphan, and this is Shun. Pandora tries to introduce the spirit of Hades into Shun, but fails, even after attacking young Ikki.
History.
With Alone's defeat, Hades' awakening was imminent. The god of the Underworld takes control of the young painter's body, altering his appearance so that his body resembles Hades's real body. Upon awakening, Hades' cosmos releases darkness and a shockwave that hits all the Saints, Tenma and Athena who were around him, causing them all to fall unconscious from the god's great power. Shion and Dohko attempt to fight him, but are knocked back. At this, Shion remembers having heard that Hades hates sunlight and is vulnerable to it, something she confirms when she sees how Hades has covered the sky with clouds of darkness to avoid the light of the Sun. So she summons the Gold Cloths and uses the sunlight stored within them to attack Hades, who looks injured, but this light only burns his skin a little. However, when all seemed lost, the cosmos of the Gold Saints that was in their Cloths is projected and makes them appear at that moment. This is how the Gold Saints unite to attack Hades with the light of the Sun, and this time the light causes the god to scream in pain and his body begin to receive multiple wounds, so he has to flee and his soul leaves Alone's body, heading directly to the Temple of Pluto to hide in the shadows of that place. When Sasha, Tenma and Alone arrive at the Temple of Pluto, Hades' soul is waiting for them, sitting on his throne in the main hall. The god receives them, and after a brief talk, where it is revealed that Hades planned to take advantage of the plans that everyone around him had and planned to influence Alone without taking control of him.
History.
There, a young woman named Pandora appears before him, who identifies him as Hades and kisses him, causing Hades' soul within him to awaken. A medallion inscribed with the words "Yours Ever" appears around his neck. The next day, Alone says goodbye to his friend Tenma, who leaves for the Sanctuary to train and become a Saint, promising that one day they would both be reunited. Two years pass, and young Alone continues painting his beautiful paintings. However, everything changes when he notices that everything he paints dies, accidentally causing the deaths of his friends. In that moment of despair, Pandora appears before him again and takes him to the forest cathedral, where upon arrival they are greeted by Hypnos and Thanatos disguised as priests. There, he sees a beautiful painting where he can see himself wearing armor. Later, he sees another image in which he is surrounded by his orphan friends, who seem happy in death. Alone accepts his destiny: he is Hades, the King of the Underworld, and decides to bring the happiness of death to all living beings. That same night, the Holy War of the 18th Century begins. When the barrier that Hypnos had created to protect Hades' Castle is destroyed, the god of sleep visits Alone in the depths of the Dream World and, after revealing that he was aware that Hades never woken up and that Alone was responsible for everything that was happening, Hades' soul reacts to these words. Hypnos seems to have realized his lord's plan, so he decides to play along with Alone and starts calling him Hades.
History.
With Hades defeated, the Saints believe they have won. However, at that moment, all of the Saints, with the exception of Hakurei and Sage who are being protected by a sword infused with Athena's blood, cough up blood and fall dead, as Hypnos and Thanatos appear above the Sanctuary and have killed them. Athena confronts the gods, but is unable to defeat them. Furthermore, Hypnos and Thanatos open the Path of the Gods to leave that place and search for Hades' soul, and Athena follows them, leaving Hakurei and Sage behind as the only survivors. Powerless, they vow to prepare to defeat the gods in the next Holy War. Hades' soul descends to Earth through the womb of Pandora's mother, killing Pandora's unborn brother. Just then, the god Kairos takes Hades's soul before Hypnos, Thanatos, or Pandora could arrive, and brings it to the human who was chosen as the god's host. This way, he could see who the chosen young man was and thus reunite him later with the Saint of Pegasus to begin his plans. Furthermore, Athena had also descended to Earth as the sister of the young man who was chosen to host Hades's soul, planning to prevent Hades from taking control of him. Hades was aware of these plans being formulated around him, so he decided to proceed differently during this Holy War to take advantage of them. Alone was a young orphan living a quiet life in a city in Italy, alongside other orphans, including his friend Tenma. However, everything would change one day while he was painting in the local cathedral. At that moment, a mysterious priest visited him and told him where to find a flower with the red pigment he needed. So Alone heads towards that place, and upon arriving he finds a beautiful meadow covered in flowers.
History.
Hades awoke in the 16th century and began a new Holy War. Once again, the details of this battle and Hades' involvement are unknown. Though in this battle, it was seen that Thanatos and the Specter of Papillon used the Underworld Fairies to control the Gold Saints and cause a coup in Sanctuary, with the help of Itia and Gateguard, who betrayed Sanctuary because they wished to create a peaceful world worthy of the gods and thus stop the Holy War forever. Once the traitors were defeated and the plot stopped, Avenir and a group of Saints arrived from the future to this era, where Avenir would fight alongside the Saints of this era and give his life to protect Athena. His knowledge of the future and his legacy would provide an opportunity to prevent the events of the Holy War where Athena was defeated in the future, ushering in a new timeline. At the end of this battle, Hades and his army would be defeated once again. However, most of the Saints would perish in battle and only Hakurei and Sage would survive, thus preparing for the next Holy War. At the end of the 16th Century Holy War, Hades, possessing his host, would appear above the Sanctuary and begin his attack. However, at that moment, Athena wearing her Cloth arrives and protects the Sanctuary from Hades' attack. Although Hades begins to overwhelm Athena, the Saints present, mostly Silver and Bronze Saints, aid Athena in battle. They all unite their cosmos to repel the energy sphere that Hades had fired. Furthermore, the cosmos of Athena and all the Saints impacts Hades, causing the god's soul to leave its host's body and shoot into the heavens, breaking through the Sanctuary's barrier.
History.
He was born from the union of two gods, Kronos and Rhea. In the past, during the age of myth, Hades's body was injured for the first time by a Saint of Pegasus. From then on, his attempts to invade Earth were hampered by the efforts of the Saint of Pegasus. In the distant past, Hades would begin a crusade to conquer Earth and punish humanity, which he considered to have become corrupted. This is how he would confront Athena and her army, as the goddess was the protector of humanity and the Earth. The battle between Athena and Hades would become known as the Holy War. In one of the Holy Wars against Athena, Hades' mythological body was injured by the Saint of Pegasus. This incident caused Hades to become more cautious in subsequent battles, choosing to hide his body in Elysion and begin possessing the body of the purest human on Earth to wage the Holy War against Athena. Furthermore, this event marked the beginning of the strong bond that would unite him with the Saint of Pegasus and Athena, which would last throughout the following centuries. Hades awakened approximately in the 13th Century and began a new Holy War. The details of this battle and what was Hades' participation are unknown. It is only known that Krest of Aquarius and Itia of Libra participated in this Holy War and, at the end of the battle, they were defeated by Athena and her army. In the midst of this Holy War, the Saints faced the Specters, who were outnumbering them due to their large numbers, until Itia used Libra's weapons with her Balance of Curse technique to decimate a large number of Skeleton Soldiers and Specters, thus giving the Saints a chance to win that battle.
Personality.
When he was in Shun's body he was silent and serene. He is also eager, this is shown when Athena (Saori) asked him to stop the Greatest Eclipse, he would do so in exchange for something, in Saori's case, his life. Being a god, he believes he is superior to mortals, making him arrogant, also seen when he forces Shaka of Virgo to take Athena's life with Pandora's Spear or when he demands Seiya of Pegasus and Ikki of Phoenix to surrender when he was in Elysion. He has shown to be very "compassionate" to take Athena's life when she was in the Sacred Vessel because of the pain she gave him. He is also aggressive, this is how it is when something or someone gets in his way, preventing him from reaching his goals. He is also narcissistic, this is seen when Hades orders Hypnos to put his body into a deep sleep since the age of myth. Despite the aforementioned, he is a deceitful god, because he "deceived" the Specters into obtaining eternal life, Hades appears to his followers as a benevolent and wise being, however his nihilistic perception towards humanity and life make his actions show him as an evil being in the eyes of the Saints. According to what Pandora describes, Hades hates violence and hates to see his warriors die. Ironically, his violent nature appears when he decides to finish off Athena by threatening to kill her at the slightest opportunity. Hades believes that the most appropriate way to judge the actions of humans is through death, so that humanity learns through the suffering and torment that come along with the idea of death, to become aware of their sins.
Appearance.
His original body has a delicate appearance, being tall and thin; his hair is jet black with some strands standing in point, it is long to the waist but the bangs are long to the jaw having it arranged on the sides of the face and another part to the shoulders, his eyes are bright having the iris of golden color of which is the most prominent of his appearance, his skin is quite white with a tone of paleness. His body is covered by his Surplice of dark purple. part of its originality is preserved but changes its eyes that end up being turquoise, his Surplice also changes in color, putting dark gray with silver details.
