Furina has fair skin and heterochromatic eyes. Her right eye has a light blue iris and a deep blue teardrop-shaped pupil, while the left eye features an inverted color scheme. Her hair is mostly grayish white with light blue sections split into two parts: a short, flared bob that reaches down to her neck, and waist-length locks tied into two ponytails with several seemingly glowing blue streaks. A strand of hair also sticks out to the right, in front of her hat, which tilts to the left.

Furina's attire consists of a dark blue bodysuit over a white vest with a jabot, decorated with multiple carved blue stone accessories resembling water droplets at various points. A blue sash is placed over the white vest, tied in a bow and secured with a large blue gem in the center, which is later replaced by her Hydro Vision. Her cuffs are folded back, with brass hems, revealing a deep blue ruffle atop her sleeves. She also wears a dark blue top hat tilted to the left of her head, the hat decorated with metallic trim giving it a crown-like appearance, as well as including her emblem on the top surface. Multiple other fabric embellishments decorate Furina's attire, including pieces of blue and white fabric hanging behind her waist and hat.

She wears a black glove on her right hand and a white one on her left. Furina wears white shorts with black bands around her thighs. She wears dark leather high-heeled shoes with her emblem printed on the soles. White ruff-like collars also surround her ankles.

Flamboyant and reckless, Furina lives for the excitement of the courtroom, often speaking in a tone laden with bravado and dramatics. She is impatient and has a childish temper, occasionally making judgments she doesn't mean, something Neuvillette often has to rein in while conducting a trial to avoid complications. While she enjoys being the center of attention, she only does so when it's focused on her in a positive light, completely breaking down if anything goes wrong and trying to save face at the first opportunity.

However, it was later revealed that Furina was not the true Archon Hydro, but a powerless human. Focalors, Egeria's successor, had separated her divinity from her body and spirit; Furina was the Archon's body and spirit, but lacked powers. The Focalors used her to deceive the Celestial Principles and thus prevent the prophecy about Fontaine from coming true. Furina was tasked with maintaining the Archon's appearance and was cursed by the Focalors so that she could neither die nor pursue her own happiness while the Focalors lived. As a new "human," she struggled with the role, but eventually mastered it. Aware of the prophecy that would doom Fontaine, Furina assumed the role of Archon Hydro for 500 years. While successful in this task, it wore on her mentally, causing her to suffer severe self-esteem issues and paranoia, as demonstrated when the Traveler convinced the audience that she was a fraud at her trial. Despite being immortal due to the Focalor's curse, Furina still feared life-threatening situations, as she begged Arlecchino not to kill her during an attack by the Hydro Gnosis, and hesitated to dip her hand into the Primordial Seawater to prove she was the Hydro Archon during a trial.
