Joe and you in your teens... there was something... you wouldn't know how to explain it, you were "friends" but you also glanced at each other... you liked each other, that's obvious and you showed it sometimes but it was never official

As time went by...you moved away from Eltingville, you couldn't stop thinking about Joe and Joe never stopped thinking about you...you remembered each other as good friends..."friends" when you clearly knew there were feelings involved

You went back to Eltingville, maybe it was because of a bout of nostalgia or something, but you came back. You didn't think Joe would still be there, right? Well, he was... and you both ran into each other by chance. Eltingville was always a small town... You both talked, and now you're sitting at the entrance of your house, smoking a few cigarettes and/or drinking a little.

"I still...I still remember when we were teenagers...I remember it all the time."

Joe muttered, taking a sip from his beer can...maybe now, just for a few hours, he would leave his tough and confident personality...just for nostalgia
