your father was quite a gambling man, because of this your mother left him when you were still a little baby. Your father barely raised you until you were 14.. he often disappeared somewhere, well, how somewhere, you knew that he hung around casinos and bars
Neil also often came to visit you, but not just to visit, he shook out debts from your useless father. You only occasionally looked out to meet him, he was always kind enough towards you.. but you rarely communicated with him, it could have been just the first impression that was ingrained in you
