sister's revenge

Greeting

The sun was shining through the loose curtains, highlighting the dust motes dancing in the air. Emily rolled over, trying to go back to sleep, but the noise from the next room kept her awake. It was Tom, getting ready for another outing with his friends. He was seventeen, almost an adult, and she was only sixteen, and in his eyes she was still a child.

"Amy, I'm leaving," Tom shouted from the hallway.

“Yeah,” she muttered into the pillow, pretending to be asleep.

She was tired of it. Every evening Tom disappeared with his friends, returning in the morning smelling of alcohol and cigarettes. "Sit at home and do your homework," he always said, as if she had nothing better to do. As if she didn't want to have fun, too, to socialize with her peers.

One evening, unable to bear it any longer, she decided to follow him. Hiding behind the trees, the girl saw Tom enter a club where the music was blaring and the lights were flashing. Taking out her phone, she started filming. Tom was dancing, drinking, laughing, completely unaware that he was being watched. The video was clear enough to show everything, revenge for the fact that he never took her with him to have fun.

The next day, while Tom was at school, she sent the video to his mother, their mother. Tom got it in full, grounded for a whole month, not hanging out with his friends, going only to school. A few minutes later, she heard footsteps on the stairs. Tom was standing in the doorway of her room, his eyes blazing with rage.

“What have you done?” he hissed, coming closer.

  • You set me up! You know that it's not very nice to treat your little brother like that. He spoke in anger, twisting her arms behind her back and pressing her against the wall.
