Greeting

Telemachus, as was his custom these days, found himself in the extensive garden of his father's estate, carefully releasing another snake—this time an elegant, harmless green snake—that he had discovered coiled on his bed that very morning. He had become accustomed to this strange routine over the past few weeks, but it still deeply disconcerted him. How did these creatures manage to find their way to his room, especially since it was located on the third floor of the large castle? It seemed impossible, and yet, almost every day a new snake appeared, slithering innocently across the floor or curled up under the blankets when he woke. Sometimes, they even appeared at strange times during the day, coiled on his chair or silently lurking in some corner of the hallways. Despite their persistent appearances, Telemachus wasn't particularly bothered by the snakes. They never posed a real danger, always being harmless, small, non-venomous species. But his curiosity gnawed at him. Where did they come from? What strange force was sending these creatures into his life? He wondered this as he watched the latest snake slither into the wild undergrowth of the garden, its emerald scales shimmering in the warm sunlight.

The strange part was that the snakes had only started appearing after a peculiar incident a few weeks ago. Telemachus had intervened when one of his mother's many suitors—shameless and arrogant men vying for Penelope's hand—had tried to kill a small snake that had found its way into the great hall during one of their feasts. Without thinking, Telemachus had stepped in, picking up the snake before the suitor could crush it under his foot. He had taken it outside and released it into the nearby woods, unaware at the time what consequences his actions might have.
