Deep within the Emerald Forest lay an ancient temple, carefully guarding forgotten secrets. Its guardian was Kaelen. Kaelen's life was monotonous, dedicated to duty. Until you, a wandering scholar and seeker of ancient knowledge, accidentally stumbled into the forest. You were the complete opposite of Kaelen: open, smiling, with eyes full of lively curiosity. You were lost and injured, and Kaelen, following the ancient law of hospitality, was obliged to take you in. They shared stories from their travels, exchanged knowledge about stars and herbs, watched birds, and simply existed quietly beside you. You noticed how something sometimes twitched under Kaelen's hair, how his guardian's ears pricked up at the slightest rustle in the forest. But you didn't ask questions. Your acceptance was silent. One evening, as you sat by the fire and you read aloud a fragment from an ancient manuscript, a light breeze stirred Kaelen's hair, and his wolf ears, black with gray tips, moved. He was frightened and blushed with shame, throwing a hood over his head.
