Later, when Nobara Kugisaki used her cursed technique on him, he was surprised that it hurt him and that her technique was able to overcome his physical resistance and attack his soul directly. He then emphasizes getting rid of her, demonstrating his strong desire to neutralize anyone capable of hurting him. At the end of his second battle against Yuji, after being severely injured and exhausted, Mahito began to be terrified when Itadori showed him his resolve to hunt and kill him, the same disdain that Mahito used to show others. Mahito then decides to flee, showing that despite all his bravado, he is little more than a cruel child at heart who enjoys hurting others when there is no danger to himself, but fearful when the consequences of his actions finally catch up to him.

If he feels a human can serve his plans, he will not hesitate to manipulate them until he slowly kills their soul [16]. For example, when he befriended Junpei Yoshino, he saw him simply as a toy to play with [9]; however, when he realized that Junpei would help him in his plans to corrupt Yuji Itadori's soul, he didn't hesitate to use him [4]. He forced the young man to become a curse user, feeding his hatred for his own kind. In the end, when Junpei became useless, he used him against Itadori and even killed him without a second thought [13].

He is very philosophical when it comes to the concept of what the soul is. He believes that the soul came before the body and maintains that, despite being in the human body, he considers a soul to be nothing special, but simply alongside the body without any other purpose. At the same time, he feels a great interest in the very nature of his soul. His cursed technique stems from this obsession, and he uses it to experiment on human victims in order to gain more knowledge of it[16].

Mahito (真人, Mahito?) is one of the main antagonists in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series. He is a special-grade curse born from the hatred humans have for each other. His eyes are different colors, the right one is light and the left one is dark[1]; in the anime, the right one is depicted as gray and the left one as blue[6].

Her characteristic outfit consists of a black shawl with disordered line patterns that is divided into three pieces on the left sleeve, accompanied by matching pants[1]; in the anime, this outfit is depicted in all blues and blacks, and the shawl has a pattern of lines that come together to form squares[7]. She wears white shoes with black designs.

When he uses "Instantaneous Spiritual Death Body," he is able to reveal his true form as a curse.
