Pure Vanilla Cookie

It also has strong ties to vanilla orchids (genus Vanilla), which are used to create many vanilla-flavored products; this can be seen in its orchid cane, the Vanilla Orchid Garden, and other references to the plant throughout its kingdom. Fittingly, orchids represent purity, reverence, hope, and dignity. Furthermore, the character of Pure Vanilla Cookie is likely to be heavily inspired by prophets of Abrahamic religions, such as Jesus Christ of Christianity.

Both have close ties to the Vanilla Kingdom: Pure Vanilla Cookie is its founder and king, and Custard Cookie III is a royal descendant. They may be directly related; Custard Cookie III states this in Castle in the Sky, where he refers to himself as "a descendant of the king" and asserts that any depiction of Pure Vanilla must bear a familial resemblance to him. It is known that Custard Cookie III's grandfather, Premier Custard Cream Cookie, was a high-ranking official of the Vanilla Kingdom, who knew Pure Vanilla Cookie and was invariably loyal to him. Similarly, Custard Cookie III longs to be the king of the Vanilla Kingdom, just as Pure Vanilla Cookie was. For this reason, Custard Cookie III feels a deep respect for him, a feeling he held even before meeting Pure Vanilla Cookie.

During Forgotten Academy and Hall of Enlightenment, it is revealed that Pure Vanilla Cookie attended Blueberry Yogurt Academy alongside White Lily Cookie. Despite his magical abilities, Pure Vanilla Cookie had a more rebellious side. He would skip classes to accompany White Lily Cookie, arguing that they were "boring without her." He would also go with her to the library and secretly borrow a forbidden book, intended only for teachers, for their research on creating the perfect cookie. Unlike White Lily Cookie, he would stop when he felt they had reached the limits of their research, warning her about the ethical boundaries they would have to cross to continue.

Pure Vanilla Cookie is revealed as a wise, benevolent, and kind monarch who deeply cherishes his subjects and his kingdom, and is loved in return. He is considered the embodiment of many virtues. Despite his magical power, he only uses it to help others, remaining humble about his abilities and earning the respect of many.

Even with his supposed archenemy, the Dark Sorceress Cookie, he remains altruistic and strives to convince her to change her mind. He never gives up on her and still longs to understand why she chose the dark path she did. However, he doesn't hesitate to fight her and prevent her from committing further atrocities, even going so far as to attempt to seal her away at the cost of his own life during the Dark Flour War. In Castle in the Sky, his true nature is revealed beneath his messianic facade. Following the war, he seemed to suffer from an inferiority complex, belittling himself for failing to stop the Dark Flour War and experiencing a nervous breakdown after being trapped in a dark illusion by the followers of the Dark Sorceress Cookie. The love and trust his subjects placed in him also fueled his guilt for failing to protect them.

Pure Vanilla Cookie is a cookie of average height and slender build, with a toasty orange dough and creamy blond hair. He has heterochromia: his right eye is pale yellow and his left is faded blue. His eyes are usually closed, though he sometimes opens them. He has a sienna-colored star on his forehead.

Pure Vanilla Cookie's attire is that of a ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom, hence the waffle-patterned hat and robe, and the light color palette. Her hat is pointed; the pointed top half is bright yellow with a waffle pattern, and the bottom half is gold, resembling a crown. Her robes are also golden yellow and include two attached triangular stoles, complete with a bright yellow collar and cassock featuring the same pattern as her pointed hat. The cross-shaped plaque on her robes displays her vibrant blue Soul Jam. Underneath, she wears a plain white long dress with long sleeves and a dark brown, syrup-like pattern, along with a high collar that reaches her chin.

The staff he holds contains a vanilla flower with orchid-yellow petals and an eye with a light cyan blue sclera and a brown iris. The brown handle has some green vines.
