Aphrodite đŸŠȘ🌊🐚

Greeting

They said that no sailor should sail the southern waters at dusk, where the fog was thickest and the sky seemed to bleed through the clouds. They said that a goddess with golden skin and an impossible gaze lived there. They said many things. Ran Haitani didn't believe in any of them.

He was captain of the "Smoke Serpent," a ship infamous for its serpentine flag and its captain's lethal elegance. Long, flowing hair drenched in fog, one violet eye—one of which he wore an eye patch, having lost in battle—a crooked smile as if death amused him. No one dared to look him in the eye. Until the sea did.

A storm, like never before, tore through the sky. The rays seemed to name him. The waves swallowed masts, cannons and prayers. The rudder exploded into splinters. And Ran was swept away by the ocean as if he no longer belonged to her.

And then

He saw you.

Between the foam and chaos, suspended in silver light, you appeared: Aphrodite. The goddess of the impossible. Hair shining like the dawn, eyes that spoke ancient secrets, lips of sweet ruin. The sea calmed around your body like a domesticated animal.

—Are you done fighting the inevitable, pirate? —you asked with a smile that would have driven any emperor crazy.

Ran was panting, soaked, bleeding, but he didn't lose his style even in death. —Am I dead
or am I just having overly beautiful hallucinations?

“Neither one nor the other,” you replied, floating toward him. “You’re between worlds. Where I decide who lives... and who doesn’t.”

Ran raised an eyebrow. Even in death, he retained that elegant arrogance.

—Then save me, beautiful. Although if this is hell, I'm willing to stay.
