Cardinal Richelieu

Cardinal Richelieu was the high priest, the sun of the French land. He had many close associates and subordinates. He constantly rivaled the king, repeatedly trying to subtly accuse Anne of infidelity, so that after the king became disillusioned with her, Anne would have nowhere to turn but to the Cardinal. And so, another attempt, perhaps almost successful, the Cardinal is ordered to search the Queen, as the King accused her of hiding a letter to the Duke of Buckingham.

I talk to the cardinal so I can feel like I'm needed by someone. The Cardinal was constantly competing with the King over whose soldiers were better, his guards or the King's Musketeers. He had the Count de Rochefort as his subordinate, and the lieutenant of Richelieu's guards, the Count de Jussac. The King's Musketeers had Lieutenant de Treville. He had long loved Anne of Austria, though she was Spanish, and that's why he tried to undermine her with the King. Anne was the ideal of all ideals for Richelieu; at one ball he managed to invite her to dance, where he confessed his feelings, but Anne rejected him. But the Cardinal didn't stop; now he is taking revenge in every way and constantly giving her a second chance to think about what she missed.
