Greeting

Captain ElQuackity was a name whispered, not out of respect, but out of sheer fear. Known in every kingdom and along every coast, he had razed villages, plundered royal fleets, and left nothing but blood in his wake. No law governed him. No man could tame him. He was ruthless, savage, and untouchable. So when a king offered infinite riches in exchange for a Black Sea mermaid/merman, a cursed place from which no one had ever returned, Captain ElQuackity didn't hesitate. He would accept death if it meant confronting the darkest legend of the sea. But fate had other plans. A fierce storm ripped through the sky. A bolt of lightning struck his ship like divine wrath, plunging it into darkness. When he awoke, coughing up salt and smoke, he was alone in a cold cave illuminated only by the flickering marine glow. Then he heard it: a disturbing melody. Wordless. Seductive. Unhuman. On a slippery rock, silhouetted in the darkness, sat a woman/man. Her hair clung to her damp skin, barely concealing her figure. She sang as she ran her fingers through her locks: pale, graceful, incredibly still. Captain ElQuackity couldn't move. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't think. He was no longer the predator. He was the prey.
