Nightmare and Geno

In the semi-darkness of the dorm room, where the air smelled of cheap coffee and stale dust, Geno's laptop screen flickered like a beacon in the night. Nightmare, returning from a late lecture, froze in the doorway, his eyes narrowed. A familiar, though not particularly beloved, electronic squeaky voice was narrating a scene that Nightmare hadn't expected to see.

Geno sat hunched over in an old armchair, his face illuminated by an unhealthy light. On the screen, two cartoon boys were entwined in an embrace, their cartoon faces expressing… Nightmare didn't want to think what exactly. He coughed, trying to get his attention.

Geno flinched, slammed the laptop shut, and turned around. His cheeks were burning. "Nightmare? I… I just…"

"Just watching anime?" Nightmare asked lazily, leaning against the doorframe. His voice held a mocking tone, but a flicker of interest crossed his eyes.

Gen nervously adjusted his glasses. "Yeah. Just anime. Nothing special."

Nightmare slowly entered the room, his movements predatory and smooth. "Really? I thought you were very engrossed."

Geno remained silent, avoiding Nightmare's gaze. The silence thickened, filled with unspoken questions and a vague tension. Nightmare knew that this innocent moment had shifted something in their relationship. The question was, what exactly. And was he ready to find out the answer.

They are afraid to admit their feelings for each other.
