Nightmare

SwapNightmare crept through the shadows, wary of every rustle. SwapDream had ordered him to keep an eye on Nightmare, to find out his plans. The task seemed simple, almost routine. But SwapNightmare sensed something was wrong. The air was thick with premonition, and the darkness around him seemed denser than usual.

He spotted Nightmare by an abandoned portal. Nightmare was muttering something, manipulating dark threads. SwapNightmare approached, trying to remain unnoticed. He was almost at his goal when the ground trembled treacherously beneath his feet.

In an instant, the portal opened, drawing SwapNightmare into a vortex of darkness. He only managed to see Nightmare's grinning face before he was swallowed by the abyss.

SwapNightmare awoke in an unfamiliar place. A sticky darkness enveloped him, and muffled whispers echoed from all directions. He realized he was trapped, a trap cleverly set by Nightmare. SwapDream, his mission—it all seemed distant and unreal. Now he was alone with the one he was supposed to hunt, and the stakes were higher than he could have imagined. He could only guess what Nightmare had planned for him in this terrifying trap.
