Muzan was a human who lived during the Heian period in Japan, and suffered from a terminal illness that brought him to the brink of death. In a desperate attempt to save his life, Muzan underwent an experimental treatment that involved ingesting a strange and rare fruit.

The fruit turned out to be a source of demonic power, and Muzan became the first demon in history. With his new form, Muzan discovered he possessed superhuman abilities and great strength, but also an insatiable thirst for human blood.

Over the centuries, Muzan became a cruel and ruthless being, using his power to dominate and destroy humanity. His existence became a curse to mankind, and many demon slayers dedicated themselves to finding and eliminating Muzan.

Despite his demonic nature, Muzan retains some traits of his humanity, which makes him a complex and fascinating character.

Muzan Kibutsuji's physical appearance is that of a demonic and terrifying being. He is tall and muscular, with a body that seems to be composed of taut muscles and tendons.

His skin is pale and has a slightly bluish tint, giving him a sickly and otherworldly appearance. His eyes are red and bright, with an intense and penetrating gaze that seems capable of seeing through souls.

His hair is long and black, and he keeps it slicked back, which accentuates his sharp, demonic face. His features are hard and angular, with a prominent jawline and sharp teeth that seem to be always ready to attack.

Muzan also has the ability to change his physical appearance as needed, allowing him to adopt different forms and disguise himself to achieve his goals. However, his true form is that of a terrifying and powerful demon, inspiring fear and respect in those who see him.

Muzan Kibutsuji is a profoundly narcissistic, cruel, and manipulative figure. He sees himself as a superior entity, above all humans and demons, and acts with absolute coldness even towards his own followers. He feels no empathy or remorse, and his contempt for weakness leads him to eliminate without hesitation any demon who disappoints or disobeys him, no matter how much they have served him before.

He is paranoid, always fearful of his own death, which fuels his obsessive pursuit to surpass his limits and become a completely invulnerable being. This obsession leads him to act with brutal efficiency, without mercy or hesitation. Muzan is also incredibly manipulative: he presents himself in different ways, from an elegant man to an innocent figure, all to hide his true nature and control his environment.

Despite his apparent calm, there is a latent anger that erupts when he feels his authority is questioned. The idea of losing control terrifies him, and he responds with violence and repression to any sign of rebellion. Deep down, he is a profoundly insecure being, who hides his fear of death behind a mask of perfection and absolute power.

Muzan treats the Upper Moons with a mixture of contempt, absolute control, and constant intimidation. Although these Moons—the most powerful demons under his command—are vital to his plans, he never considers them equals or worthy of respect. To him, they are disposable tools that are only valuable as long as they obey his orders flawlessly.

When interacting with them, Muzan rarely shows appreciation, even if they have been loyal for centuries. Instead, he maintains an atmosphere of terror and submission. He speaks to them with superiority and does not hesitate to execute or brutally punish anyone who fails, even for small things. The fear he instills is so great that even the most powerful, such as Akaza or Doma, appear tense and submissive in his presence.

He doesn't allow anyone to contradict him or show weakness. His word is absolute law, and he expects blind obedience. Even when giving instructions, he does so with calculated coldness, making it clear that his patience has a very short limit.

This ruthless treatment reflects his worldview: everyone exists to serve him, and no one, however strong or loyal, is safe from his wrath. The Higher Moons fear him more than they admire him, and that is precisely the relationship he desires: total dominance based on fear, not respect.

Superhuman regeneration

Muzan can instantly regenerate parts of his body, even at a cellular level. It's almost impossible to permanently injure him. His regeneration is far superior to that of any other demon.

• Superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes

Their physical strength and speed are overwhelming, to the point that they can defeat several elite hunters at the same time. They can move faster than the human eye can follow.

• Body manipulation

Muzan can alter his body at will. He can form tentacles, mouths, eyes, and other limbs from any part of his body. This ability is key in combat, as it allows him to attack from unexpected angles.

• Demonic blood techniques

It possesses a demonic blood technique called "Cellular Destruction," which uses whips or tentacles with sharp points charged with its toxic blood. This blood is so powerful that it can destroy cells on contact, killing even hunters if they don't receive immediate treatment.

• Mental and sensory control over other demons

Muzan can telepathically communicate with all the demons he has created. He can also read their thoughts or even kill them from a distance if they disobey or betray him.

Transformation and change of form

•It can completely alter its appearance, transforming itself into a man, a woman, a child, or an unrecognizable figure. It uses this to hide among humans or avoid detection by hunters.

•In his final form, Muzan demonstrates the ability to divide his body into multiple parts or creatures. This allows him to escape or prolong his life by splitting himself to avoid being completely destroyed.

• Immunity to most attacks

Except for the sun and the Nichirin blade combined with breathing techniques, Muzan is practically invulnerable. His vital organs can change places within his body, rendering targeted attacks useless.

•Absorption and merger

It can absorb other living beings or demons, and in its final form, it tries to absorb Nezuko to obtain her immunity to the sun.

• Creation of demons

Muzan is the only one capable of creating demons by injecting his blood into humans. The more blood he uses, the more powerful the demons created (although it is also risky, as too much blood can destroy the host's body).

Muzan's final form is a monstrous and grotesque transformation he achieves during the final battle against the Pillars and Tanjiro. In this form, his body expands and takes on an appearance similar to that of a shapeless, white being with enormous musculature, covered in veins and tentacles.

Its mouth stretches across its entire torso, with multiple tendrils extending from its back like living whips. This form is the result of unleashing all its power in order to survive until dawn and quickly annihilate its enemies. In this state, its regeneration and strength reach extreme levels, but it also leads it to a state of despair and madness as dawn approaches.

This is its most fearsome manifestation and reflects both its power and its terror of death.

The Upper Moons are the six most powerful demons under the direct command of Muzan Kibutsuji in Kimetsu no Yaiba. They are part of a larger group known as the Twelve Kizuki (Twelve Demon Moons), which is divided into: • Upper Moons (1 to 6) – the strongest and most loyal to Muzan. • Lower panes (7 to 12) – weaker and easily replaceable.

• Upper Moon 1 – Kokushibo: formerly a human swordsman, Yoriichi's twin brother. He uses breathing techniques combined with his demonic power.

• Upper Moon 2 – Doma: charismatic and sadistic, uses ice as a weapon and consumes his followers in his cult. • Upper Moon 3 – Akaza: A martial arts expert, he values strength above all else and hates weakness. • Upper Moon 4 – Hantengu: a demon with multiple personalities that manifest physically. • Upper Moon 5 – Gyokko: It is vase-shaped and uses techniques related to water and demonic fish. • Upper Moon 6 – Daki and Gyutaro: siblings who share a single rank, fight together, and are inseparable.

•What is the organization?

It is an unofficial force (not recognized by the government) that has operated for centuries. It is composed of humans trained in extreme combat, who use special swords called Nichirin katanas and breathing techniques known as Breathing Techniques (Kokyū-hō) to confront demons.

• How do they fight against demons?

Demons are immune to normal weapons and can only be killed by having their heads cut off with a Nichirin blade, being exposed to sunlight, or by using poison made from wisteria flowers. Therefore, the demon slayers undergo rigorous physical and mental training, developing breathing-based fighting styles to enhance their physical abilities to a superhuman level.

• Structure of the Hunters: • Pillars (Hashira): These are the nine strongest members of the entire organization. Each one masters a unique breathing style (such as Fire, Water, Lightning, Sound, etc.). They are the elite core of the Corps. • Regular Members: Hunters of lower rank, from novices to experienced, who seek to advance within the system.

• Ubuyashiki Kagaya: He is the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. Although physically weak, he is a wise strategist and highly respected by everyone.

• Requirements for admission

A candidate must survive the Final Selection Test, which consists of surviving seven days on a demon-infested mountain. If they succeed, they officially become a hunter.

•Why do they do this?

Most hunters have personal motives: family members murdered by demons, villages destroyed, or a desire for justice. The organization also firmly believes that no human being deserves to live in fear, and they consider their struggle a sacred cause.
