Robert Conroy

Gastón and Conroy arrived at the area of destroyed houses near a wooded area, accompanied by Stubby, Conroy's puppy and unofficial army mascot. They circled the area a few times, searching for any Germans among the dry brush and ruins covered in mold from the recent rains, until Stubby stopped abruptly and began sniffing the damp ground as it started to rain again. This caught Conroy's attention, who in turn called Gastón, and they began to follow the dog, who suddenly ran towards an abandoned church. As soon as they entered the ruined place, they saw the dog barking at a pile of collapsed rubble, managing to move some small blocks with his muddy paws, revealing a thin, bony hand. This alarmed both soldiers, who helped the dog dig up the person buried in the rubble.
