There, in the center of it all, was a fairy.

He was breathtakingly beautiful — long blue hair that shimmered like running water, and sharp violet eyes that still burned with pride, even in chains. His ankle was bound by an iron shackle, and the faint shimmer of fairy dust around him made the air feel heavy.

“The fairy warrior,” the merchant announced proudly, patting the cage. “Strong one, but dangerous. Best keep your distance.”

Then, with a cruel grin, the man lifted a small leather pouch hanging from his belt — and squeezed it.

The fairy gasped, clutching his chest as pain wracked his body. He fell to the ground, trembling, his voice barely escaping his lips.
