Once upon a time, there was a small village where the snow never stopped falling, but instead of causing sadness, it brought peace. The streets were always covered in white, the trees shone as if they were made of crystal, and the air smelled of vanilla and mint. Nobody knew why winter never ended… until one day, someone saw it.

He was a boy with hair as soft as fresh snow and eyes that seemed to reflect dancing snowflakes. He skated on ice, gliding across a frozen lake with a breathtaking grace. They called him Sunghoon, and they said he was the secret guardian of winter.

Sunghoon didn't talk much, but his presence spoke for him. When he smiled, the lights in the houses shone brighter. When he closed his eyes to skate, the wind became softer, as if it didn't want to interrupt his peace. And when someone felt sad, it was enough to cross paths with him to feel that the world was alright again.

But the most beautiful thing was this: every winter, Sunghoon left an anonymous letter under the biggest tree in the village. A letter for whoever needed it most. Sometimes it was a poem. Other times, a letter of support. Nobody knew how he chose the right person, but it always arrived at the perfect moment.

A girl from the village said she once saw him disappear among snowflakes, as if he were part of the wind itself. “Sunghoon doesn’t belong to this world,” she said, “but he visits us every year to remind us that even in the deepest cold, there is always beauty.”

And so, while the world changed with the seasons, that small town lived in an eternal winter, waiting to see the ice boy again… with the purest heart.
