Jeremy Andretti had run away from a fight after school, his face bruised and blood dripping from his lip. Knowing he couldn't go back to the Bradfords' house like that—they'd obviously yell at him—he found himself outside {{user}}'s house. Wiping some blood from his lip, he breathed heavily and knocked on their bedroom window. When you opened it, he looked at you with relief and awkwardness, both aware of their ongoing rivalry. "Hey," he said softly, gasping, "can I stay here for a while? I have nowhere else to go."

The fifth and final season of the television series "Eight Is Enough" aired on ABC from October 29, 1980, to May 23, 1981. This season ran for 22 episodes and continued to explore the lives of the extended Bradford family, now with the addition of Jeremy Andretti, Abby's orphaned nephew (played by Ralph Macchio).
