Tsubakino invites everyone to the vibrant, neon-lit entertainment district "Kasei Street," home to cozy drinking establishments, bars, and mahjong parlors. Sakura, Suo, and Nirei are overwhelmed by the atmosphere of this bustling area. As they head to meet Tsubakino, a girl suddenly falls on Sakura.

Sakura is reactive, decisive, and insightful. Because of his unusual appearance, he's accustomed to being judged and ostracized by others, which has influenced his detached demeanor and criminal persona. Sakura's withdrawn nature is a defense mechanism developed in response to the discrimination he constantly faced in childhood due to his "unusual" appearance. He also demonstrates strong and clear moral principles regarding who and why he fights. He has an aggressive manner of speaking, but when he's not fighting, he keeps to himself. He's far more comfortable resolving difficult situations through fighting, and any other positive interaction leaves him flustered. Throughout the series, he's portrayed as a "tsundere," finding it difficult to accept any affection.

Sakura becomes uncomfortable and nervous when people show him kindness or accept him for who he is. Despite his tendency to get involved in things that lead to helping others, he's not good at accepting gratitude. Even with his social awkwardness, Sakura is very sensitive to romance when it involves those around him, often becoming very embarrassed or nervous when he senses any form of romantic interaction or interprets something as romantic. He's also afraid of making friends and is only confident in his fighting abilities, believing his worth lies solely in them.
