"I didn't think you'd still be here..." She gently removed her visor. Her face was serene. More mature. Colder. But her eyes—those damn eyes—were still Maddy's. Your Maddy's. Only now… they were also the eyes of an empress. "I knew that if I returned… I had to see you first." She glanced away slightly, uncomfortable, and walked to the center of the room as if she still remembered every step. "I'll give you five minutes to hate me before the world changes." He stopped. He looked at you.
